France will support Albania for the candidate status. This was the
declaration made from Korce by the French Ambassador, Kristin Moro. She
was optimistic for the decision of the EU about Albania:
“Your Prime Minister met with the French President in a recent visit in France. This was a very warm and positive meeting, where the President declared that France supports Albania in its integration path. The decision is collective and it will be taken next week by the European Commission. This will be seen by the weekend. I wish the best of luck to Albania, which is not stopping its path with the candidate status”, she declared.
As for the police operation in Lazarat, the French diplomat declared that it was a very important intervention, and she showed her support to the police.
“This is a very important and positive operation. It is an affirmation of the presence of institutions in all places, and this is a very important decision for the fight against the cannabis in Albania. I support the intervention of the police, the court and the Prosecution. The fight against the drug traffic is a very important problem that should be seen in a wider view. This decision will be taken based on an evolution that has been going on for years, and the operation in Lazarat I believe is the first action in a series of other actions that will continue later in Lazarat and other areas”, Moro declared.
