Four people died today in Vlora, three in Zvernec only, within a few minutes.
Police say that two girls, cousins, 27 and 25 years old, were having a swim at the Zvernec beach when they lost balance due to the waves.
One of the girls cried for help and Beniamin Ferhati, 24, from Tetovo, Macedonia, rushed to help the drowning victims.
He was able to take the 25-year-old girl to shore, and went back inside to help the other one. Unfortunately, neither of them could make it back, while the girl ashore also died due to the large amount of water in her lungs.
Another 14-year-old died earlier the day at the Uji i Ftohte area.
