Four teens die in Shkoder car crash

Their vehicle crashed against a truck loaded with logs. The mother of one of the teens suffered a heart attack after receiving the news of her son’s death.

All the victims are 17-year-old, and they were returning from a party. After this tragic bilance, the Shkoder Municipality declared it a day of morning for the entire city.

The tragic accident took place at the Shkoder-Lezhe axes. The young boys were returning from Tirana and they crashed against a truck loaded with logs. Four of the five passengers who were in the BMW died instantly, while the driver, Osman Merahja, is in life threatening conditions. The victims were celebrating the birthday of one of their friends. Police has arrested Prek Ndreca, driver of the truck, who received light wounds during the accident.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which so far seems from excessive speed.

Four injured in two accidents in Elbasan

Meanwhile, two other accidents have taken place in Elbasan, where four people have been injured. In the Elbasan-Metalurgji highway, a vehicle ran over three 13-15-year-old children who were riding a horse driven cart. The cause of the accident seems to have been the excessive speed and darkness.

The second accident took place this morning, when a 19-year-old bike rider crashed against a vehicle. The four victims are out of life threatening danger.
