The Tirana police received four acses of domestic reports a day. The
police says citizen’s awareness has increased against this phenomenon.
The growing trend was verified especially for minors.
“Women make more reports. There have been several reports from minors who have come to the police. In 15 cases they have even requested protection”, declared Besmira Mucaj, psychologist at the Tirana Police.
“There have been cases when the attacker was armed, which has prompted police to confiscate it”, Lindita Lushaku said.
Police appeals citizens to report any form of violence, may that be physical or psychological, since consequences could be fatal.
