Former Transportation Minister: “Not concerned about investigations”

The former Minister of Transportation, Edmond Haxhinasto, was asked by Top Channel about the corruption case that is being investigated by the Prosecution regarding the Tirana-Elbasan road construction.
“I am not concerned about investigations o verifications. I had a political leadership of the Ministry. Anyone is free to investigate. My entire activity was based on the documents that are already there. I am ready to verify them. The time of popular justice, when people used to get attacked, only based on gossip, have ended with the past system. I am here and I will be here. If this will degenerate into a political attack, I will respond politically and very harshly”, Haxhinasto said.
When asked by Top Channel why he had been present at the trial of Mr.Xhika, his dependant accused of corruption, Haxhinasto said that he is a free citizen, allowed to attend any trial.
