After Ilir Meta was elected President of Albania, the position of Visho Ajazi Lika as Director of the Secret Service was immediately put in question, said the former Director of this institution, Fatos Klosi.

“After Meta became President, Lika became vulnerable because he has spied on both Rama and Meta. He would be under their control, to not say their hostage”, Klosi said.

Klosi left to be understood that Meta did not express support for Visho Ajazi, but played his role as President.

“The President played his normal role. As long as no one has filed a resignation, he hasn’t asked for it. That’s a correct behavior”, he said.

The former Secret Service Director, Bujar Rama, said that the involvement of politics with the Secret Service cannot be avoided. However, he says that our Secret Service has been modernized lately and for this, all political factors have merit.

Analyst Arjan Vasjari says that politics has used Secret Services to increase their power, while Agron Gjekmarkaj says that 1992-2007 has been the darkest period of this Service.
