The former President of Albania, Bamir Topi, joined the Tirana Municipality tree-planting initiative. Together with the Vice Mayor of Tirana, Andi Seferi, they donated 20 lime trees which were planted at the Kokonozeve Road.
Mayor Veliaj thanked the former President for his gesture and said that this shows the responsibility of every citizen to take care of his city. “As a model citizen, our friend, Bamir Topi, united for planting trees in this road near his neighborhood. This shows that the fatherland starts at the door of your neighborhood. We can talk about patriotic pride all we want, but we need patriotic action. And there’s nothing more patriotic than keeping your city clean”, Veliaj said.
