The Former President of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, has worked 70 years ago for the creation of what is known today as Tirana’s big park, at the Artificial Lake.
Today, 89-year-old but with the same energy, Moisiu is helping with the creation of the Orbital Forest, a green wall of trees that today’s citizens must leave to next generations.
President Moisiou planted 110 cypress trees at the Sauk Overpass, Tirana’s Outer Ring Road.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, thanked the President for his contribution.
“We at the Tirana Municipality are privileged to have Albania’s most loved President join us with this initiative. He is one of the most inspiring figures of Albania and a veteran of tree-planting. We planted 110 cypress trees which will bring more life and more oxygen to the city. I am grateful, Mr.President. I wish you a long life and I thank you for the contribution”, the Tirana Mayor said.
