A former political prisoner attempted a self-immolation in front of the Parliament building before the plenary session.
Kujtim Gaziu was unable to finish it, because the police was able to neutralize him on time.
After this event, the police took the citizen under custody and set him free a few hours later.
There are unofficial voices for a new hunger strike of the former political prisoners, after that of October 2012. Feeling neglected by the government, Lirak Bejko and Gjergji Ndreca set themselves on fire. Ndreca survived, but Bejko died a few weeks later.
The Ombudsman declared that there are other ways for resolving the problem, while he asked a clear deadline for the financial compensation of the former political prisoners.
Totozani appealed the former political prisoners to discuss their problems with his office.
