The former police directors who have been removed from duty protested in
front of the Prime Minister’s Office, close to the hunger strike tents,
where six former police directors have joined the strike.
Their main request is returning to their jobs. They say that the crime is increasing and that they have been replaced with people who have ties with the crime.
“We appeal the government and diplomatic missions to stop the revenge against police officers, who are the most honest part of the society. We are trained, we have decorations and have been part of specialized training. You can see that the crime is increasing. We should not think about ourselves, but about our children”, declared one of the representatives.
The association of removed police officers declared that others will join the hunger strike. Former firefighters also joined the protest.
