Unable to see beyond the roadblocks placed more than one year, the
Albanian former Prime Minister, Pandeli Majko, values the investments of
the Kosovo government in reconstructing the houses of Albanians in some
neighborhoods of northern Mitrovica.
The Socialist MP visited the Bosnian Neighborhood at the “Kroi i Vitakut”, two areas with mixed population near the southern part of the city. He had a close update of the situation.
Majko declared that the constructions are more valuable than thousands of pages in dialogues that often end without a conclusion.
“I think that this peace and tranquility that has started to function incites the inter-ethnical relations in Kosovo and wider. You must come here to understand that the problem is not about the North, but for the people who live here. Thanks to the engagement of the head of the commune, a great work has been made not only for the Albanian community”, Majko declared.
“We are doing the preparations for enabling the continuity of the repair of houses that were damaged during the war and that create the possibility for everyone to return in the old buildings”, declared Avni Kastrati, Head of the Mitrovica Commune.
The former Prime Minister commented about the roadblocks, saying that the last psychological obstacle must be the gravel at the Ibr Bridge, which must be removed as soon as possible.
