Former MP Mark Frroku was released. The Fier Court pardoned the remaining sentence period of 1 year and 5 months, ordering his immediate release.

He was sentenced in April 2017 to seven years and 6 months for hiding assets and illegal construction.

This January, his verdict was reduced to 6 years for the same charges. Now, the Fier Court has finally decided to release him.

Besides these charges, Frroku is also suspected for the murder of Aleksander Kurti in Belgium, in 1999. But no evidence were found to support this.

Another trial will start against Frroku next week. He, Tom Doshi and Durim Bani are accused of false testimony for an alleged murder attempt against an MP of the opposition.
