The new government made the first criminal report for high-rank members
of the Berisha government. The Ministry of Defense declared that they
are preparing a report against the former Minister of Defense, Arben
Imami, and some of his dependents.
Minister Mimi Kodheli declared that this is not about a simple report, but a well-studied case. They gathered strong facts about corruption, and accused Imami of abusing with the public money.
“The Ministry of Defense filed a criminal report against the former Minsiter of Defense and some of his dependents, for power abuse, abusing with the state funds, and violating the tender equality. This is not a usual report. We have a well-argued report made by a group of experts who have scrutinized every detail of this corruptive affair, and have come to the conclusion that whoever was responsible should be brought to justice. I appeal the General Prosecution to act by inveestigating all the illegal acts that brought a violation of the procedures and a huge abuse with the public’s money. It is not comfortable for me and my collaborators to do this, but this is the only thing that we can do, seeing the evidence”, Kodheli declared.
