The former IT Chief at the Tax Office, Renald Rista, was summoned by the
Tirana Prosecution on suspicions of how he could have copied and then
disappeared the computer data of the past four years at the Tax Office.
The IT says that everything is invented, and that he is not involved in this issue.
“There are 4.3 million declarations that are missing. There is no alibi, just innocence. I haven’t done anything. The prosecution can find the authors. This is an invention”, the head of IT declared.
The investigation is led by Prosecutor Julian Zonja, who has asked the footage of the security cameras two days before they were deleted.
The defendant is accused of power abuse and intervention in the computer network. But Rista says that other people have entered the institution and have deleted everything.
