Arta Dade, former Foreign Minister, said that the visit of Parliament
Speaker Ilir Meta in Greece was successful and reached its goal.

“This has all the elements of an excellent visit. There are some matters brought from the past and which should not be an obstacle for further consolidation of our bilateral relations”, Dade declared.

The former Democratic Party Foreign Minister, Tritan Shehu, said that this was a positive visit and he hopes it will be followed by other concrete steps for reinforcing the relations between both countries.

For Shehu, former Foreign Minister during the first crisis with Greece in the ‘90s, understanding should be the base of these talks.

“There are problems from the past, but it is important to solve them with understanding, by reinforcing our cooperation”, Shehu underlined.

Dade has a special message for Shpetim Idrizi regarding the Cham case: “This needs to be resolved based on international conventions both countries are part of, and this matter should never be used for electoral or political gains”, Dade underlined.
