The former Democratic Party MP, Astrit Patozi, said that the idea of a new party within the DP is not excluded.
“A political movement is many times bigger than a political party, but I don’t exclude any case if they keep not listening. We are determined to stand by our political action because we think that we have an obligation to democrats throughout Albania and to our country in general”, he said.
The former vice leader o the Democratic Party started having meetings in every city, saying they will be media-related. This move had been warned if Basha didn’t respond to the platform of this September for rebuilding the Democratic Party, a platform created by Patozi and former DP General Secretary, Ridvan Bode.
“There is nothing about the reunification of the DP. There is lethargy in a time when local elections are around the corner. DP is in a real crisis. There is no project, no strategy for the future”, Patozi declared.
But will he challenge Lulzim Basha in the local elections?
“You never say never in politics, but every decision will be taken after we consult democrats”, Patozi said, adding that the DP under Basha is going towards destruction.
