Former Chief Prosecutor Llalla is sentenced to 2 years in prison for concealing assets

The Special Court sentenced today the former Albanian General Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla, to 2 years in prison for “hiding and not declaring property”.

During today’s hearing through the lawyer, Llalla pleaded not guilty, as he considered the accusation against him fabricated.

As of February 2018, the former chief prosecutor appointed during the time when the opposition DP was in power, has had confrontations with the socialists and is part of the US State Department blacklist, which has banned him and his family from entering the US.
