The former Bank Governor of Albania, Ardian Fullani, accused of power
abuse and for causing a huge economic damage to Albania, chose to make
the Court spare money.
Fullani’s defensive lawyer, Maksim Haxhia, said that the former Governor asked the court an accelerated trial so that the Court does not spend money since the case could be resolved.
The lawyer insists on his innocence and says that by requesting accelerated trial it doesn’t mean that he is admitting any guilt.
Howeve, Fullani did not appear at court for his first trial.
Besides the power abuse for the and neglect that caused the theft of 713 million ALL, Fullani is also accused for the “Dajti” hotel case, which was sold before the bank opened the purchase procedures.
