After the 90s, Albanians rushed abroad for a better life, but many foreigners moved to our country, making a new life for years.

Kathleen Imholtz, a lawyer from the USA; Lejla Hadzic, an architect from Bosnia-Herzegovina; and Tatjana Bajraktari, a businesswoman from Ukraine, are just three of the foreigners that live in our country, today’s guests on “Afternoon on Top Channel”.

All three guests agree that Albanians have great respect for foreigners. As for the language, they say it was hard to learn, but they were able to learn it. “I learned from a professor but also from citizens”, Lejla Hadzic says.

Tatjana, however, says that Albanian is easier than Russian; “I progressed very well within six months. Russian is even more difficult”, she says.

Another thing they all agree on is Albanian cooking. They find it better than in any other Balkan country.

When asked if it is easy to make friends in Albania, Kathleen says that it is very easy, and that Tirana is her second home.
