Foreign Ministry: “Five Albanians injured by earthquake in Italy”

The Foreign Ministry announced that the devastating earthquake that hit
Italy has left five Albanian citizens wounded. The personnel of the
Albanian Embassy to Rome said that these citizens received medical
attention at the “Gemelli” hospital and are now out of life threatening
danger.

The 6.2 magnitude earthquake devastated the rural areas near Peruggia. Italian media outlets report at least 37 victims and more than 100 are still missing. Authorities have been working for hours with the hope to find survivors.

The situation is dramatic in Amatrice, the Mayor of which says three thirds of the town have been destroyed.
