The Foreign Minister of Albania, Ditmir Bushati, valued the passing of
the justice reform at the Bratislava Ministerial, and underlined its
impact for Albania’s progress report from the European Commission, since
our country is an EU candidate.
“Economic growth and safety cannot be achieved without justice. Albania passed an all-inclusive justice reform we hope can be the first step of our EU accession. It will also serve as a model for other aspiring countries. The implementation of this justice reform is important not only for our country, but also for the rule of law in economy, fight against corruption, organized crime and also for war against terror and radicalization”, Bushati said.
This Ministerial meeting focused on Turkey, the Ukraine crisis and the EU global strategy. The Albanian Foreign Minister expressed Albania’s support for addressing security challenges the region is facing today. He also mentioned some of the steps that our country has undertaken in the fight against terror and radicalization.
