The Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, welcomed this Monday in a meeting a
delegation of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, led by a group of their
highest leaders, Liu Haixing.
The press release of the Foreign Ministry says that the parties discussed the recent developments in the region and for a better collaboration climate.
The parties agreed to intensify the political dialogue of high-level visits in order to increase the cooperation between the two countries in a government level and in other areas such as culture, the academic world, etc.
Focusing on the economic and trade cooperation in energy, mining and agriculture, Minister Bushati asked the Chinese representatives for support with concrete projects.
Both parties agreed on the need of having Chinese investments in the Albanian and regional infrastructure.
Minister Bushati reconfirmed the will of Tirana for deepening the cooperation for the development of the road infrastructure, railways, maritime and air transportation, in order to improve profits for both parties.
In this meeting the respective representatives discussed a more active way for building the regional transportation networks by exploring the cooperation possibility between Albania and China in the Southeastern Central Europe.
The representatives shared their view that the cooperation between China and SEE countries was completed and serves to the aspirations of Albania and the region for EU integration.
