Foreign media comment Vucic’s visit as historic

Despite the different approaches, all articles about the visit of the
Serbian Prime Minister in Albania agree on the fact that this visit is
historic and that it aims to improve the delicate relations between the
two countries. The second meeting of the Albanian and Serbian leaders,
six months after the first in Belgrade, will focus on the Balkan
stability issues, according to AFP.

The French news agency says that the independence of Kosovo will also be discussed, which is not recognized by Serbia, together with the issues of the Serbian minority in kosovo.

“We want cooperation with Serbia, so that we can progress together in the path of integration and peace”, the French agency quotes the Albanian Prime Minister.

The Serbian Prime Minister also speaks of cooperation, according to the Serbian media. Some of them mention the tension because of Kosovo with just a few words, without long details.

The spirit is different in the past years, maybe because of the perspective for a European future and the desire for integration. Brussels made it clear that the bigger the cooperation of the countries in the region, the smoother the EU path will be.

The drone incident also seems to belong to the past now. Vucic says he expects this visit with optimism and stands to the idea that differences can be resolved only with dialogue.

The visit of the Serbian Prime Minister comes after a new escalation of the tensions in Macedonia. For many analysts, the relations will now show if the political elites are ready to leave the past behind and focus on the new relations, which, according to them, should be based on joint projects funded by the EU.
