Foreign investments have increased with 1.5% during the first trimester of this year, as foreign companies keep extending their activity to Albania.
The data were made public by the Bank of Albania.
According to the Bank, the foreign investments in the Albanian economy were 285.6 million EUR, from 281 million EUR that they were in the first trimester of the past year.
Detailed data show that most of these investments derive from capital funds coming from abroad. The rest is made of reinvested profits of foreign companies that are currently present in Albania.
Foreign investments have remained at high levels for several years. The historic record was marked last year when foreign companies invested 1.21 billion Euros in the Albanian economy.
