Foreign and Defense Ministers, Ditmir Bushati and Mimi Kodheli, met with
women in Shkoder on March 8th, the international Women’s Day.
Minister Kodheli spoke about the fight against discrimination against women, and how these campaigns could be successful.
“We have to face once again with the challenges of our mothers and not only. We have to fight violence, ignorance and domestic crime by working together with men and with their support. We have excellent men in our side, one of whom is here”, Kodheli said addressing to Ditmir Bushati.
Bushati valued the contribution of Shkoder for the emancipation of women through years, not only in Shkoder.
“Many important personalities have come from this land. Shkoder is one of the Adriatic gates of Europe. It keeps being a vibrant community today, giving a unique contribution in the culture of our country”, Bushati said.
The Ministers continued their meetings in Shkoder, where they visited some business activities established by women.
