The match between Elbasan and Tirana shoed that the Albanian ended up in
a fight between fans, who didn’t spare the newest stadium in our
country, that of Elbasan.
Despite being far from each other, the fans started attacking each other by breaking the seats and throwing them against each other.
The electronic advertising screens, which are obligatory for international matches, do not work anymore because fireworks have burned their cables. Specialists say that a partial repair is impossible. They need to replace all of it, which is very expensive. The green pitch has also been damaged by fireworks.
Despite the financial damage, the stadium director, Dritan Kadia, says that the moral damage is higher.
Kadia says that the responsibility falls on everyone, the fan groups, the Football Federation, the stadium directory and the police.
“We are also responsible for not being able to stop this situation. The police should have intervened faster. The fan groups are also responsible. We should all learn from this and not allow this to happen again”, Kadia declared.
200 police forces were present in this match, and 20 security guards. The police is prosecuting Agron Idriz Xhepa, Mustafa Ibrahim Skilja, Perparim Neshat Shermadhi, Adnand Bardhyl Miraku and Kleviz Nikolaq Buzo. These persons will be investigated for “public disorder and public property damage”.
