Police seized camera footage from the airport showing the armed robbery
committed by three people, who made it away with a large amount of money
that a bank was trying to send abroad.
Footage show that a person with airport staff uniform has opened the service gate that allows only vehicles that supply fuel to airplanes.
No security officers were seen around the gate and the robber destroyed the door in a few seconds.
Then they let inside an old Mercedes Benz that parked near the spot where the security vehicle of the “Nazeri 2000” company was unloading the money.
The robbers took the money and left the scene from the same gate. The vehicle was found entirely burned, 2 kilometers from the scene. Police say the car was stolen this March in Pogradec.
