Inside Nenshkoder, near the Ura e Gjo Lulit area, the fields have turned
into a giant lake. The lowest area of Nenshkoder has difficulties in
draining the waters.
This territory of dozens of hectares covers four communes close to each other: Dajci, Bushati, Berdica and Velipoja.
The rivers Kir, Drin and Buna that surround Shkoder have increased the flows, but fortunately the water is still within the riverbed.
The Drin cascade has also brought large amounts of water, but there was no need to open the discharge gates, which would put the Nenshkoder in danger.
If rains continue with this intensity, this area could be in danger of floods.
Dozens of houses and 400 hectares of land were flooded during this day in Lezhe, due to the intensive rains.
