After the European Parliament approved the resolution for Albania,
rapporteur Knut Fleckenstein started a three-day visit in Tirana.
Fleckenstein’s visit coincides with the protest of the Democratic Party in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the preparations for the June 18th elections.
Fleckenstein said that if the Judiciary Reform will be implemented, Brussels will start the EU negotiations with Albania.
Fleckenstein will meet with politicians, the Ombudsman, students and civil society representatives.
According to Fleckenstein, the next meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee with Albania will be held in September, because it cannot be held before elections.
