Fleckenstein, the rapporteur for Albania at the EP, was not elected this term

The rapporteur for Albania at the European Parliament, Knut Fleckenstein, reacted on Twitter after the preliminary results of the European Parliament elections, after he wasn’t elected.

He German lawmaker said that regardless of this, his commitment in Europe, and especially in the Balkans region, will not change.

“I will not return to the European Parliament, but I will keep having close ties with Europe and the Western Balkans. There will be more information in the upcoming week”, he wrote.
