Present at the National Council for European Integration, at the Albanian Parliament, the rapporteur for Albania at the European parliament, Knut Fleckenstein, said he is happy that the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Matthew Palmer, was on the same line with the EU as regards Albania’s political situation.
He underlined that the current Parliament can also progress with the judiciary reform: “The Special Prosecution Against Corruption will be constituted and the Ministry of Justice told me that they will soon have the necessary quorum for taking decisions and for establishing the Constitutional Court. This is good news which will influence the decisions of June. The judiciary reform is important because it is the base of all other reforms that have been requested by the EU and the Albanian people”, Fleckenstein declared.
