After the manufacturing industry, the government is preparing a special law package for the agriculture.
“The manufacturing development model resulted successful and we will try to repeat it even more improved, for drafting a full package”, declared Alban Zusi, from the Albanian Exporters Association.
The package gives privileged treatment to businesses which export agricultural goods through Customs, the Tax Office and other agencies depending from the Ministry of Agriculture.
“There will be a package that will remove the time and financial barriers for businesses, in order to make it easier for the export of goods”, Zusi declared.
But there will be also other advantages, from a quick reimbursement of VAT and to the direct fiscal encouragements.
“We will review the fiscal packages and problems with VAT and excluded purchases, in order to identify the stimulants that are needed, which might have a financial cost and that will serve for the next program of agricultural policies”, Zusi declared.
The agricultural trade balance has marked a strong improvement in the past years. The import-export ratio has fallen from 12 to 1 in 2000, with 6 to 1 in 2013.
The growth of agricultural exports has continued even during the first three months of this year, respectively with 27%, compared to the past year.
