Fiscal amnesty, tax office starts verification

After the enactment of the law for pardoning a part of tax and customs
obligations and for deleting all fines, the tax office administration
was instructed recently to establish special commissions for the
amnesty implementation.
“Shqip” newspaper has learned the details of the “operation” that started yesterday. An inner order distributed the respective duties to tax administration employers that will be part of the 5 member commission, which will verify the implementation of the amnesty.
General Tax Directory notified that commissions have been established in all local branches, and now are taking more specific instructions.
Problematic remains the campaign for making aware businesses that still do not have the necessary information.
“The first thing to do regards ‘High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets (HIDAA)’ list for high rank officials who are excluded from the project. This list must be distributed to custom and tax offices after being verified with the National Registration Center”, say official sources of the high tax administration.
“This institution will verify any state official enlisted by HIDAA. The second phase is that of verifying the businesses. The former is at the end of the process, and the latter when the project implementation will be started”, sources say.
