The Mediterranean tourism fair, which aims to bring together regional
businessmen of the tourism industry, was opened today in Tirana, the
first of this kind organized in Albania.
“We have tried to show display Albania in more than 15 fairs. There are things still to be discovered in our region and in our country, that’s why this fair was themed “The Mediterranean”, but it is especially about Albania as a tourist destination”, said the Minister of Economy, Milva Ekonomi.
Tourism has turned into one of the main supporters of economy. Municipalities are also focusing on encouraging this sector, which is generating jobs and new businesses.

He investment was used not only to transform it into a nice space for citizens, but also a tourist destination where tradition is mixed with modern, with presence of Albanian food. The “Scanderbeg” square will also turn into a tourist attraction. Whoever visits Tirana will be able to touch pieces of history, culture, a little bit of Albania”, said the vice Mayor of Tirana, Arbian Mazniku.
The fair also aims to include Albania in the international calendar of tourist travel and fairs.
