A powerful fire broke out at the “Polygraph Plant” in Tirana. For more
than two hours, at least 12 fire engines tried to extinguish the fire
that was also fed by the plastic materials of a nearby workshop.

The firefighters attempted to keep the flames under control, in order to avoid it from spreading around the other wood workshops situated near the plastic workshop, and also other objects. The fire that broke out around 11 o’clock spread out in a larger area, obliging the firefighters to call in more fire engines.

Some of them came even from Durrës. The experts suspect that the fire was caused by an electrical spark, and for this reason there were no electricity in the area. Fortunately, no one was hurt, although there were two workers inside the building when it broke out, who were able to overcome it with very light damages, all thanks to the quick intervention.

The Police took all necessary measures for not allowing curious people to come by the fire, although the residents were very interested to watch the event closely. The workshop also had tools against fire. The Prosecution established an investigating group for finding the cause of the fire.
