Fines and privatization increase budget revenues

The total revenues at the budget reached 86.6 billion ALL in the first
three months of the year. Recent data from the Ministry of Finances show
that compared to the past year, the revenues have 4.5 billion ALL more,
but the result reflects an unusual growth of other revenues and not
taxes.

The data show that the Tax Office and Customs collected 56.6 billion ALL or 300 million ALL more than the past year, while the additional revenues should have been several times higher only due to the increased taxes and inflation.

The weak growth in the tax collection has been recovered partially by the growth of contributions in the health insurance. The revenues from employment taxes, even taxes on personal revenues and social insurances, are lower than the past year in a time when the government declares that the number of jobs has increased with 93.000, compared to one year ago.

However, the budget has grown in the first three months after an unusual growth of the non-taxable revenues, with 3.4 billion ALL, including fines and unusual transfers that the state institutions make in the budget. In this case, the cause might be the sale of the 4G license.

As for the spending, the government has kept a tight budget, as never before in an electoral year. The total spending grew with only 2 billion ALL compared to the past year, while loans resulted lower.
