Finance Minister: “New fiscal package for tourism”

The Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, presented in Durres the draft-budget for 2018 and the fiscal package.
Ahmetaj said that hotel brands will be exempted from taxes, especially businesses offering 5 star services, who will have tax on profit removed for 10 years, and lower VAT.
Investors who bring known hotel brands to Albania will also be exempted from property and infrastructure taxes, from the tax on profit for 10 years, and they will have a 6% VAT.
As for the new fiscal package, the Minister said that it aims to fight informality and promote important sectors, such as tourism.
