The report on the dismissal of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta was approved today with full unanimity by the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry.
All members of the Commission voted in favor of dismissing the Head of State.
According to the rapporteur Alket Hyseni, the commission found violations of 16 constitutional articles by the Head of State.
“The president should not be involved in the election campaign against one or more political forces, or support other groups. The President has consistently maintained his public stances against the socialist majority.
“The Commission of Inquiry considers that the President did not stand above the parties and thus lost the function of being a balance factor”, the report added.
Top Channel reported earlier that the final report on the dismissal of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta will be voted in Parliament and is expected to be approved on June 10.
