Fiks Fare’s reports about justice

The reports made by Top Channel’s program “Fiks Fare” against the
corruption in the Court and Prosecution of Puke has brought a reaction
by the Union of Judges.

The association says that they encourage the investigative journalism to inform the public opinion as regards judiciary corruption, but the tendency to create generalization compromises this mission and denies the professional and serious work of most of the judges, and our society’s aspiration for building a public trust.

The Union emphasizes that involving the name of the President of the Supreme Court, Xhezair Zaganjori, a figure of high moral and professional integrity, in a scene improvised by random speculators, is an appeal for a quick and professional investigation, to show that these cases could serve as inspiration for a populist campaign against the judiciary and judges.

“The Union appeals that rather than creating unfriendly rhetoric against the judiciary, a non-generalized identification of those who are responsible and the promotion of values based on merits are the only credible way for an independent and responsible judiciary”, the declaration underlines.
