Months ago, the show “Fiks Fare” on Top Channel received a concern from the residents of the remote village of Bugjon in Pukë in the northeast of Albania, who complain about the lack of a road and a bridge.

This bridge would connect the northernmost three villages of Fushë Arrëzi, Bugjon, Kokëdodë and Aprripë e Guri. The lack of this bridge had isolated the inhabitants of these areas and they had to walk a very difficult terrain to cross the river that separated these villages.

Since the situation was getting difficult and after they didn’t see any reaction from the institutions and why they complained, the citizens built a small wooden bridge to cross, which is very dangerous especially for the children who used that road every day to go to school.

After the broadcast of this case in the investigative program, businessman Filip Gjoka, a former resident of the village of Bugjon, promised that he would invest in the construction of a bridge that connects these villages.

The journalists of “Fiks Fare” along with Gjoka traveled to the village of Bugjon where they reviewed the ground for the construction of the bridge.

After 6 months, the journalists of the show “Fiks Fare” returned to Bugjon again, this time to inaugurate the new bridge.

The residents of this village thank the show “Fiks Fare” and the investor for the construction of the bridge, saying that this bridge is a salvation for them and their children.

The Mayor of Fushë Arrëz, Hil Curri, also thanked Fiks Fare program, saying that the bridge was necessary although the local government could not do it.
