Investigative show Fiks Fare brought today the case of a resident of the main street “Myslym Shyri” in the capital Tirana who complained about the noises by a bakery below his apartment.
He says that this furnace was suspended once in 2016, but 6 months ago it resumed work and brings the same concerns.
“He was suspended at that time because he was making noise and did not have the proper documentation, at that time they gave him the task of isolating the electric motors, raising the pipes 2 meters above the terrace, obtaining an environmental permit and not working after 10 p.m. but he did not do this”, says complainant Edmon Leska.
Meanwhile, the whistleblower holds a bunch of papers in his hand, in which it is shown that now the measurement can be done from 08:00 to 16:30, since later the Local Health Care Unit does not work. Also, the measurements were once performed at 11:00 a.m. where they came out within the allowed norms. “I complain about the noise at night, they do the measurements during the day,” says the complainer Edmond.
The manager of the bakery did not answer the journalists’ question about what measures he took after the duties left by the first suspension. “As long as the state allows me, what business do you have” said the owner.
Later the investigative show asked for a solution to the case, based on the latest legal changes, where the Municipal Police, the State Police and the National Environment Agency have the authority to measure the acoustic pollution and take measures against it, but it has not yet received an answer.
