“Fiks Fare” program on Top Channel reported tonight a scandal within the justice institutions, where a judicial police officer in Elbasan in central Albania, demanded a bribe of 1,000 euros to stop the proceedings for a house built in the village.

The event takes place in the office of officer Anila Dushku, who after taking the bribe, promises the elderly woman that “she would finish the job”. A few days after making the payment, an envelope from the prosecutor’s office arrives at the complainant’s address, informing her that this body has asked the court to stop the investigation, because the criminal offense of construction without permission has been amnestied by the Parliament of Albania.

The 68-year-old Hava Lloga, who a few years ago was prosecuted and sentenced for construction without a permit, because she built a house for herself and her son in the village of Qender, Librazhd, complained to the editors of the Fiks Fare show. Then she started building a house for the other son and was again object of disciplinary procedures again. “My problem is with these houses that I was sentenced to 2 months of house arrest. It’s been 3 years since I built the house like everyone else without a permit, and then legalized it. Then I started building the other son’s apartment. I followed the works together with the builders, as the boy workd in Greece” says the elderly woman.

She explains that the works started 3 years ago. “The police came and filled out the papers. I was called by an officer named Anila, she is an officer at the Prosecutor’s Office of Elbasan. She followed the entire procedure. Now he tells me she wants 100 000 lek to close the matter of the son’s house. She told if I love my son I should give her 1 thousand euros”, says the 68-year-old woman.
