Fiks Fare investigative program on Top Channel brought tonight the case of Professor Shpëtim Dajçi, who in his ballet class asks fourth year students for money in state school lessons.

According to him, he is not paid by the state for extra hours and adds that “1 thousand old lekë he asks for per day, are nothing compared to the prices of tuition in private schools”.

Although the payment is opposed by two students, the professor says that “I get tired in this job, so the students have to pay”.

Fiks Fare received a response from the Local Education Office in Tirana, which says that all teachers in this school go through the portal “Teachers for Albania”, and in this case the solution was found with school teachers to be paid for overtime.

According to the institution, students should not pay under any circumstances for their learning in public school facilities.

In a hidden camera recording, the professor says: “Listen how it works. These two classes with you that the director put on me, no one pays me for. Now, I said to this… (student), this remains between us, eh? You drop 100 lekë a day to pay the teacher, me. Since 25 days a month it costs 25 thousand ALL. That it is not 30 days a month, as Saturday-Sunday are holidays.

“Now its those who can do it, whoever can afford (the lesson) what I tell you,” the teacher was quoted as saying, among other things.
