The Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri; the Prosecutor General, Adriatik
Lalla and the Head of the Secret Service, Visho Ajazi, have signed a
cooperation memorandum to reinforce the inter-institutional relations in
the fight against corruption and organized crime.
“The signing of this agreement might remain on paper if it doesn’t turn into a concrete action with solid results against crime, corruption and illegality in general”, Tahiri declared.
Prosecutor General Llalla declared that this memorandum is very important for fulfilling Albania’s priorities in the European Union integration process.
“The agreement’s object is the essential of the European Union recommendations, problematics that have our common attention. The Prosecution is determined in the fight against corruption, but this requires a common commitment”, Llalla declared.
The focus of this memorandum is environment, illegal deforestation and illegal constructions
“Certainly that this should be an added value of the law, for accomplishing our functional duties in our constitutional mission”, added the Secret Service Director, Visho Ajazi.
