The Fier Prosecution has closed the case of the Fier Thermocentral
theft, with the reasoning that there are no evidence for the theft.
According to the Prosecution, the only evidence is the footage provided by Top Channel’s program, Fiks Fare, which recorded the theft of the materials for scrap in a time when the thermo-central building and the implants were set for conservation.
After Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare” published the theft, the General KESH Directory fired the thermo-central director and filed a lawsuit at the Tirana Prosecution, including an inspection report.
The KESH (Albanian Energy Corporation) made this public, but now, several months after the fact, the Fier Prosecution suspended the file for lack of evidence.
Fiks Fare’s hidden camera footages proved the destruction of the thermo-central tubes, the diggings and cuts of the scrap materials, under the guards’ observation.
Top Channel also filmed how the scrap materials were then secretly transported to a scrap collection point at the Fier thermo-central. The marks of the digging that were made for removing the large pieces of metal are visible even today.
