The investigations of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes concluded that
Petrit Vukaj has been contacted by some persons to reduce the conviction of
Elton Xhemali, detained for violation of traffic rules that caused the
death of Perparim Bizhga, Chief of Delvina Police, who was traveling
with Xhemali.
Elton Xhemali has tried to avoid prison by contacting Prosecutor Vukaj through his brother, Arjan Xhemali, and the Chief of Police Gazmir Nelollari, in exchange of 300.000 ALL.
After the intervention, the Prosecutor has requested 2 years in prison, which were accepted by the judge. The Xhemali brothers were unhappy and requested their money back.
Xhemali and Nelollari are arrested for active corruption. Prosecutor Petrit Vukaj is left in house arrest.
