The workers of the Fier and Ballsh refineries, who have been let go, held a protest for emphasizing once again their requests.
WorkThe protesters clashed with the police after they had blocked the entrance of tanker trucks within the refinery. The protest had been warned and the syndication had received a permission from the police. But after they blocked the refinery’s door, the directors were obliged to ask the intervention of the State Police.
The Union leaders presented their requests.
The ARMO workers have been holding protests for weeks, against the decisions to let go of the staff and after delayed payments.
Workers say that 1000 of them are expected to be let go, while 200 have been fired so far. The protests were organized at the same time in both refineries of Fier and Ballsh. So far there has been no reaction from ARMO workers.
