The only things that have not been taken away from Albania’s public
wealth yet, are the old factories’ metal parts that seem to have turned
into a big business in the recent months.
From today, Top-Channel will start investigating the dismantling of many great public works that are being turned into scrap metals, later melted in the Metallurgic Plant of Elbasan.
Even without a tender, as the case of Fier’s former Nitrogen Plant, which doesn’t exist anymore and the metal parts are being ripped off each day, turning it into an ugly ruin.
Although the Public Procurement Agency cancelled the auction held by the beginning of this summer for irregularities, it seems that has been unable to stop the removal of the Fier Nitrogen Plant.
