The Court of Serious Crimes rejected the request for accelerated trial made by the three persons arrested over corruption, because the main defendant, Prosecutor Petrit Vukaj demanded normal trial.
The Judge said that the request of Gazmir Nelollari and two brothers, Elton and Arjan Xhemali, is rejected due to an unifying decision of the Supreme Court, which says that all defendants of a case should agree for such a procedure to be accepted.
Only two of the defendants were present in the room. The Fier Prosecution, left in house arrest, was absent, together with Elton Xhemali.
The Prosecutor read the request for trial and told the court that recorded conversation will show how Nelollair had given 200.000 ALL to the Prosecutor for the liberation of Elton Xhemali, after he had ran over a person and causing his death.
