Hundreds of Fier citizens, representatives of the Çam community and of other regions, gathered at the center of the city against the anti-Albanian banners that appeared recently in Himara and along the Albanian Riviera.
With Albanian flags in their hands and banners against provocation and nationalist division, the protesters demanded Albanian ruling parties to lower the political banners and raise the national identity cause.
The representatives of several organizations emphasized that harmony should prevail between the two nationalities, in order to prevent nationalist Greek circles to inseminate division.
The meeting against the banners that offend the Albanian people, especially the çam community, was held by the initiative of the Party of Justice, Integration and Unity in Fier.
